San Francisco Design opened in Salt Lake in 1981. Over the years we have grown from a small store in Sugarhouse to own a 20,000 sq. ft. showroom on Highland Dr. We specialize in contemporary furnishings with a rustic gallery showcasing our Mountain Home Collection.

Our Park City store opened in 1990 and has seen tremendous growth in this resort community. We specialize in Mountain Home furnishings.

Outback Leather was originally behind our Salt Lake showroom but now leather furniture has been incorporated into both showrooms.

In 2005 we opened “Outback Outlet” behind our Salt Lake store, to bring together clearance items from both stores. We also sell manufacturers closeouts and consignment furniture that is gently used.
We at San Francisco Design understand our responsibility to the environment. We are committed to make our planet a better place by recycling our paper, plastic and cardboard. We arrange our deliveries to lower our carbon emissions. Many of us (employees) carpool, walk or ride our bikes to work.

We are applying to the Sustainable Furniture Council to seek more partners in manufacturing reclaimed or recycled merchandise.

We use soy based foams in many of our sofas, as well as 100% recycled fibers made from plastic bottles,whenever possible.

We seek out wood products from certified sustainable forests.

We believe that being green is more than just a slogan, it's our future.
